ABOUT OWNER MARSHALL MAGUIRE
Marshall Maguire volunteered for the US Air Force in 1972 (the end of the Vietnam war was still 3 years away). He was assigned to the Strategic Air Command (SAC) as an aircraft hydraulics/pneumatics specialist. SAC was tasked with overseeing the protection of the US in the event the Cold War ever went Hot.
After leaving the military, Marshall worked in machine maintenance and development for an injection molder in New Hampshire. He was then hired by Delta Airlines as an aircraft mechanic and made his way to Atlanta Georgia. It didn’t take long for him to realize the hot weather wasn’t for him (although he loved the south and its people), so he made his way back North and started his career in sales.
His first sales position was with a small regional distributor named Cohen Machine. The sales and technical training at Cohen, mixed with his aircraft knowledge, got Marshall a job as Sales Engineer at New Hampshire Ball Bearing, where he spent 4 years there covering the Northeast and Eastern Canada. Miniature Precision Bearing (now Timken Superprecision Bearing) was his next stop where Marshall spent 10 years.
Then came the opportunity at a Swiss bearing manufacturer called RMB Miniature Bearing. Marshall spent a couple of years as Regional Sales Manager where he covered the United States and Canada and was then promoted to National Sales Manager. It was during those years that he learned about manufacturers’ representative agencies.
Marshall opened Maguire Technologies in 2001 and went full-time in 2002. He says, “My career has been working with some of the very best bearing manufacturers, engineers, and associates. I work hard to carry that work ethic forward with Maguire Technologies.”
